Being saintly is to let yourself be filled with the light of Christ in order to let it shine all around you. The saintliness of Louis and Zélie Martin shone with the light of Christ throughout their lives. Their faith in God permeated their daily life as a witness to those around them and particularly their children.
Through the different dimensions of their lives (marriage, church, society) we ourselves are called to live a life of saintliness wherever we are. This saintliness does not mean trying to live in an extra-ordinary way, but living an ordinary life in a saintly way, by loving and trusting.
Holiness means giving ourselves in sacrifice every day. And so married life is a tremendous path to sanctity!— Pope Francis (@Pontifex) 9 Mai 2014
